Nippon Paint 8048 Zinc Phosphate Primer QD is a high-build, two-pack epoxy polyamide primer formulated to provide excellent corrosion and rust protection for steel surfaces. Its superior barrier properties, combined with excellent wetting and adhesion characteristics, help provide a durable protective foundation for subsequent coating systems.

The surface-tolerant formulation can be applied over wire-brushed rusty steel where abrasive blasting is not possible, making it suitable for maintenance and refurbishment work. It can also be used as a high-build primer or self-finishing coating under non-immersion conditions, with a dry film thickness of up to 250 microns per coat.
